Your journey begins in the beautiful city of Cape Town, where you may spend time visiting the famed Cape wine lands, iconic Table Mountain, or renowned Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. From Cape Town you travel to Hermanus, a coastal town with unparalleled scenic beauty, famous for its champagne air, long stretches of beach, mild climate, rich floral kingdom and, when the season is right, spectacular sightings of Southern Right Whales! Your next stop will be in Knysna, a bustling lagoon-side community and a paradise for nature lovers. The vast estuary here, known as the Knysna Lagoon, offers numerous water-sports, while the surrounding indigenous forests have a number of marked trails for hiking and various adventure sports. A day trip to the village of Oudtshoorn takes you to an area of vast open spaces, home to one of the most endearing mammals on the continent, the lively Meerkat! These little animals are true entertainers and you will be left with no questions as to how they ended up with their own Animal Planet channel soap opera and the lead supporting role in Disney’s Lion King! Continuing on towards the coast through impressive mountain passes, you head for Plettenberg Bay in the heart of the Garden Route. The Bay itself is shielded from the open ocean by a rocky peninsula and in these sheltered waters you may enjoy a search for a number of dolphin species, visit a Cape Fur Seal colony and possibly encounter one of the three whale species that inhabit these waters

What our clients say about tours to South Africa
Simon Bellingham was the perfect guide for us - apart from being most competent in all tour related matters, he also managed very well to get even Fiamma interested and fascinated. He also improvised very well when needed - such as when he gained access to our hotel even when all routes were officially closed due to a sporting event. Simon had been highly recommended to us by our friend from Brazil, and he exceeded all our expectations - well done Simon, and thank you very much!

The INDRI office was very helpful and prompt, and did a great job of arranging our trip.
Ngala indeed lived up to its description. We had excellent wildlife sightings, with particularly impressive sightings (twice!) of Wild Dog that far exceeded expectations.
Four Rosmead in Cape Town is beautiful, and we would highly recommend it for clients wanting a quiet, small, high quality B&B.
James Kydd made all the difference in our visit to the Cape Town area. We appreciated his low-key approach and expertise, not only in regard to the flora and fauna, but also cultural information—including where to eat. He really went far above and beyond our expectations.

Just wanted to thank you both for all the flawless arrangements ... on the safari portion of our trip to South Africa. The flights were perfect, as were the camps. We had a fabulous time at Dulini and Ngala Tented Camp and would highly recommend both. Of course it would have been virtually impossible not to have a fabulous time since both camps had wild dog dens, with pups which were 8 weeks old (Dulini) and 4 weeks old (Ngala)!

Just to thank you again for such a wonderful tour. We all enjoyed it so much and Markus is a grand guide. He knows so much about everything. Of course I was so happy to see the Meerkats and they were so close to us... We saw so many birds and the animals were just fantastic and so close could just about touch them. The lodgings were all great and we really enjoyed the boat. It was a great way to end the trip. All went very smoothly even the flying. It was amazing that you could do all that and (have it) all turn out so well.

First of all, we had the best time EVER. The TOP of the trip was Ulusaba, the lodge is amazing, their staff was always prepared to help us regarding everything and the safari was excellent. Also, the room at the lodge and the food/wine was very very good. We had a perfect time there and were very happy that we could stay one more day. We enjoyed very much all of our days in Cape Town, its a very pretty city with many things to do and with very good food/wine! And regarding Indri services, everything was excellent.. Again, we had the perfect honeymoon, incredible days that we will never forget.

No words can adequately express how thoroughly impressed Leslie and I were about the portion of our Africa safari that was planned by Indri. You did a fantastic job right from the beginning in putting together the best possible package to meet our desires while staying within our budget. I would be remiss if I didn’t especially thank you for all the idyllic lodges that you booked us in. Leslie and I will be showing our photos to various groups of people over the next several months and we will most definitely promote Indri at every opportunity. Once again thank you so very much for making our dreams come true

Cape Town is a great spot to start, finish or center a trip around. James Kydd did a wonderful job of taking care of Debbie and I. We will no doubt spend some more time around Cape Town in the future and rely on Indri to make the arrangements.
